We all have a gazillion stories that float in our psyche. We have stories of our childhood. We have stories about relationships. We have stories of many different experiences. Then there are the stories we carry on friends, coworkers, our ancestors, our community, our culture, and cultures of others.
We also have "default" stories … These are the ones who tend to turn to when we are sharing with ourselves or when something happens that is annoying … just write in the book that contains all the "stories which prove that life is hard" or "stories that prove that I'm lazy!" If a being loved one is something that bothers us, it goes into the book called "The proof that my kid is rotten!"
If we are really creative in the telling stories that we could create different categories of history with titles like "forms of failure in life!" "Abundance is for others, no yo! "or the best-seller" Unlovable Me! "These categories tend to be somewhat vague, allowing us to put anything on them depending on our state of mind!
If something beautiful, we store that information in the book that contains all the "stories that show I am fabulous!" or "stories to prove that I am funny "or whatever. Interesting to note, that for many people these books are more blank pages, then pages with words in them!
There seems to be a tendency to collect stories of certain lines to "prove" what we believe to be true about ourselves, about someone other, about our culture, another culture … proof that we are "right" about our stories.
Now, what I think is especially interesting this is that our ego wants to be right no matter what! Even if it is a story about how "lazy" that are, or how someone did not "appreciate" us, or that are "worthy of love!" The ego says, "This is my story and I am sticking to it!"
What is your point? You might be asking this now! My point is this: These are just stories. Stories are created by the imagination. The stories are created by our experiences collected and transmitted by the line, which leaves much room for further distortion.
Never in this game as a child? It seems this was usually around a campfire with marshmallows … where one child whispers a story to the child at his side … child who shares what he heard another child … well until the last child to listen to the story, says the group's history. History tends to be very funny because it was nothing like the original story! This is what can happen in our own stories. It starts with a experience … we have a reaction … positive or negative. We replay what happened in our mind. We tell anyone else in history. Time passes. The story changes with time and mood.
If you are prone to making things pretty, you can bet that the stories have a flair for the dramatic! In any case, history is distorted in some way: the memory of more intense, less intense, the sounds change, colors change, which said the changes, their placement in history can change. What do you say to yourself means you can step on. What do you say to yourself means that on the other people can experience intensify. All kinds of things happen.
This conversation leads me to how to change the story line. How can we release the burden of the stories to say to ourselves? I use a lot of tools to do this, my favorite is EFT. What I like to do EFT with people (myself included), it is clear that when the negative charge about an event, a new story line emerges. When the person who describes the story again takes a different approach and sometimes a different result. Now that is cool !!!!!
When the interruption is cleared, the person can see history from a different perception approach. So, literally, bring our stories, not only in our minds but our bodies … in our cells.
We may use or exploit other modes of psychology energy? Not sure. I can change my own stories where there is an emotional charge behind the story. If there is a charge, I move the burden of my body before they can change history … Meaning: Once the cargo has been released and I think the new story.
