There are different methods for improving the English, which are listed below:
IELTS means 'International English Language Testing System', is an international standardized test of English language proficiency. It is administered jointly by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council and IDP Education Australia and was established in 1989.
There are two versions of the IELTS examination: the academic version and general training Version:
- The academic version is intended those who wish to enroll at universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals in training or work experience, or for purposes immigration.
It is generally recognized that reading and writing essays for the academic version are harder than the version general training, because of differences in the level of intellectual and academic rigor between the two versions.
IELTS is accepted by most Australians, Britain, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and South African academic institutions, more than 2,000 academic institutions in the United States, and various professional organizations. It is also a requirement for immigration to Australia and Canada. This has been criticized in Canada, because the English accents employed in the section IELTS listening are far from typical Canadian accents.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL or, pronounced "toe-full") evaluates the potential success of an individual to use and understand college-level academic English. It is necessary candidates for non-native English speaking many colleges and universities. In addition, institutions such as government agencies, businesses, or scholarship programs may require such proof. The TOEFL is valid for two years and then removed from the official database. Colleges and universities usually consider only the results of the TOEFL more recent.
Educational Testing Service (ETS o) is the world's largest private educational testing and measurement of the organization, operation with an annual budget of approximately $ 1.1 million on a pro forma basis in 2007. ETS develops various standardized tests primarily in the States United for K-12 and higher education, but also administer tests such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL, Test of English for International Communication TOEIC, GRE Graduate Record Examination and internationally. Many of the assessments that are developed are related to U.S. entry tertiary (university) and education California, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
